      Valdez International Corporation a major Aerospace / Defense contractor has positions available on its Air Force IAFNOS contract.

      The Successful applicant will have the following qualifications.

      This position requires 3-5 years’ experience with routers and switches in an enterprise (greater than 3000 users) network environment. Required skills include the ability to install, configure, optimize and troubleshoot enterprise level router and switched networks. This includes design, IOS upgrades and verification of network connectivity at remote sites across the wide area network (WAN). Includes basic mitigation of security threats, knowledge of wireless networking and Voice.

      This is a Mid-Level position and the likely salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year / annually.

      This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Salary will be set based on experience level established during technical interview and contractual requirements.

      Occasional weekend or shift work may be required.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Cisco 9k, 4500, 3750, Nexus 9k switches, Cisco ASR & ISR routers, Cisco ASA, Cisco Secure Access Server (ACS), Cisco Indentity Services Engine (ISE).
      • Various layer 2 and 3 LAN technologies such as Spanning-tree, VLAN tagging,
        HSRP, VPC, Ether-Channel/Port-channel, Port-security, 802,1X, inter-VLAN routing, OSPF/BGP routing protocols, SNMP, NTP, static routing, ACLs, etc.

      Preferred skills

      • F5 load-balancers, SolarWinds Orion Platform using NPM, NTA, NCM services
      • Experience in network design, DISA STIG and an understanding with network boundary perimeter security working with network firewalls (Palo Alto FWs)
      • Experience in a military (Air Force) environment.
      • CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco Professional Certification(s).

      Certifications and other Requirements

      • Must have Secret Clearance.
      • Candidate must be certified in accordance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II approved baseline certifications prior to start date.
      • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) with applied network experience.
      • Additional industry certifications may be required within specific time frames.
      • Drug Screen Required.
